Common questions in JourneyDeck 4.0
Why can’t I record on iPad?
Recording needs an iPhone. iPad shows your library and receives journeys from your iPhone through your private iCloud.
What is the sample library, and how do I leave it?
The sample is a fictional library created on your device so you can explore JourneyDeck. It is never uploaded or synced. Turn it on or leave it in Settings > Account. Leaving returns you to your own library; the sample stays prepared on the device.
What is included with JourneyDeck Plus?
You can keep recording for free and view today’s journeys. Plus adds full history, Atlas, Ask JourneyDeck, premium themes and icons, Tesla drive and charging history, and AI assistant connections. Older journeys are never deleted when membership ends. Restore Purchases is in Settings > Membership.
How much does Plus cost?
The US App Store price is $39.99/yr, with a 7-day free trial. Checked October 20, 2026. Prices may vary by region and can change. Your local price and terms appear before purchase. Paid subscriptions renew automatically until canceled in your Apple account settings. Purchasing a subscription is optional.
What is Identify Song?
Tap Identify Song to recognize a song playing around you with Apple’s ShazamKit. The microphone listens briefly for that request, then stops. Audio is never saved. This is separate from Apple Music listening-history matching and is included in the free experience. Use it when safely parked.
Do I need a Tesla?
No. You can record journeys with your iPhone without a Tesla. With JourneyDeck Plus, Tesla owners can import drive routes and charging history from an account they already have. Any fees for that service are separate.
How do I disconnect an AI assistant?
Open Settings > AI Assistants > Connected assistants, then choose Disconnect for that assistant. You can also change its sharing switches there.
Why are items still arriving from iCloud?
The first iCloud sync on a new device can take a few minutes. JourneyDeck may say items are still arriving while it receives the rest of your library.
